Santosham Healing Arts
This practice is born from my own natural awareness of holism. I trained originally as a registered nurse and have 15 years of experience in acute care. Caring for others in this way exposed me to a side of people that medicine largely misses, the spirit. My sincere desire to know the Self, explore the divine and have a fuller experience of life led me to the teachings of Fritz Frederick Smith, MD. Dr. Smith is the founder and developer of a unique system of therapy on the leading edge of Mind-Body healing. The technique utilizes the finger-tips and hands with gentle pulling and holding to assist equilibrium in another person. His system evolved and became known as Zero Balancing, or ZB as it is fondly known by those familiar.
I continue to explore the depths of nursing - currently studying for advanced licensure as a Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Alongside my nursing and ZB practices, is an ongoing personal meditation/yoga practice and private instruction in the Hatha tradition.
I have practiced Zero Balancing since 2000 following a profound experience in my own life. ZB had much to do with that experience and it became aparent that this practice would become central to my search for Self and peace. For me, a key benefit of ZB is the direction and clarity of the path I am on in this life. It is with profound joy that I am able to share this gift of peace and beauty with others.
